God and The Bible Q and A's
There is one God who created everything. The beauty of the world reveals His wisdom, majesty, and power, and knowing Him brings eternal life, joy, and peace.
God has always reached out to us, making a lifelong promise with Israel that brought salvation through Jesus. Today, He comes to us through the Holy Spirit, who lives in our hearts and guides the church as we navigate life together.
God is three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, yet completely one, equal in power and glory. The Father is who we draw close to, Jesus opens the door, and the Holy Spirit guides us home.
The Bible is God's direct inspiration to us and serves as our ultimate baseline. We test every idea against Scripture, which keeps our church focused on Jesus as our true leader and the center of everything we do.
Even though humans wrote the Bible, it is God's reliable word and nothing needs to be added to it. It is trustworthy, accurate, and gives us everything we need to follow God with total confidence.
The words on the page are powerful because the Holy Spirit brings them to life. As we read, the Spirit works inside our hearts and within the community of the church, guiding us through its teachings to understand God's word and apply these ancient writings to modern life.
